Bobby G. Carpenter has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering, and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. He was employed as a civil and environmental engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Vicksburg District, Engineering Division, Design Branch; and was employed as an environmental engineer with the USACE, Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) (formerly called Waterways Experiment Station (WES)), Information Technology Laboratory, CADD/GIS Technology Center in Vicksburg, MS, until he retired from the USACE in September 2004. He has acquired over 35 years of experience in the accomplishment of numerous technical and engineering related projects and activities.
